About

Ward Dhoore is a Belgian composer, multi-instrumentalist, and sonic storyteller. Over the past fifteen years, he has toured across Europe, America, and Canada - playing in bands, collaborating across genres, and quietly building a musical language that is entirely his own.

His path has taken many shapes: various ensembles, cross-disciplinary projects, writing and arranging for diverse artists, composing for music theatre, and taking his first steps into screen music for film. What connects it all is a consistent instinct for atmosphere, and a deep interest in what music can tell us about ourselves.

In 2022, Radio Klara selected Dhoore for De Twintigers, its series spotlighting the most compelling Belgian composers of his generation. His work has since been recognised across a wide range of European music awards and charts.

In 2025, he took a step that had been a long time coming - releasing his solo debut It Was All Heart and stepping forward as both composer and frontman of his own band. After fifteen years of building other people's musical worlds, he is now building his own.
